As I Promised

We’re docked in Oriental, NC (the sailing capital of NC) and they have wonderful wifi access, so here’s the photos from the first leg of the trip down the Bay:

    Brad and Sabrina,
Great shots. The picture of the bay bridges and the sun set shots were just amazing. I might have to repost a few of those, if you don’t mind… Did you see any porpoises in the bay when you were in the southern end. I have heard they will swim along side of you. I have been showing my sons your progress on spot. We have all enjoyed watching your progress. Fair winds and following seas….

My dad is the photographer, I’ll let him know you like them, and repost whichever ones you like! We haven’t seen any porpoises yet, but I’m hopeful that out of Beaufort we’ll have some visitors. Now that we have our sails rigged, I’m looking forward to fair winds and following seas! Thanks for following along, and Happy Holidays!

Great to see you guys are on your way! It’s going to be an awesome trip – really glad to see the updates.

FYI – Brianna was very excited to see Nermal, and Sabrina’s crocs. Not as excited about the boat as I thought she would be (asking me about you guys everytime we take the shoreway downtown).

Last, a friend asked me – is your boat an Oceanus 36?

    • Brad

That’s funny bout the crocs, tell Brianna I have a pair too. Our boat is a Beneteau 393 which is similar to the Oceanus 39 but it wasn’t a charter boat. Thanks for following along, I don’t know when we’ll be near the shoreway……
