Tonight Jimmy Buffett is playing in Camden, NJ, and some of our friends are
going. We’ve seen him play there in the past, and if we were home we’d
probably be trying to find tickets. We won’t miss the concert though, it’ll
be broadcast live over our satellite radio. I’ve got some Landshark Lagers
cooling down, and we’ll be tuning in to the concert from our anchorage here
in Rhode Island. So we’ll be there in spirit guys!
Right now some rain is moving through the area as a front passes. After it
clears out, the weather looks great for the next leg of our trip, and we’re
anxious to get farther north. We’re planning our next destination, trying to
make it to a good place in Maine before the place turns crazy for Labor Day
weekend. We might have to stop short to secure an anchorage before everyone
heads out on the water for the unofficial last weekend of boating season.
Rhode Island schools opened this week, and we’re amazed at the difference in
the amount of traffic on the water. I’m curious how crowded things will get
when everyone tries to use their boat “one last time” for the season, but
shortly thereafter we hope we have the place to ourselves.
On another note, when Sabrina put up the post about the new bimini, she
mentioned that she had also entered it in a contest on Sailrite.com for a
chance to win a gift certificate. (Sailrite is a sewing machine manufacturer
and online canvas supply retailer.) Voting began August 15 and ends August
30, so if you get a chance, please go to:
